OBJECTIVE: To promote the protection of our religious liberty and to worship God according to conscience.
The main focus of this ministry is Jesus Christ -as our Lord, Saviour and Redeemer. This ministry promotes the use of lawful means to prevent the elimination of religious freedom. It is to disseminate information and educate church members regarding the principles of religious freedom. The more we know about religious freedom, the more likely we will be able to eliminate religious intolerance and discrimination. As Ellen White says, "It is our duty to do all in our power to avert the threatened danger. We should endeavor to disarm prejudice by placing ourselves in proper light before the people." Mirroring the life of Christ lets us know that religious liberty is a right given to us and obtained from the Creator.
